The Proof House Library and Research Facilities |

|
The Proof House Library contains a medium-sized collection of books, periodicals and original manuscripts spanning two hundred years to the present day, all of which relate to the Gun Trade or to weapons, ammunition and shooting. It is therefore an ideal reference source for information for genuine firearms researchers and extracts from these items are available on request. Although access to the Library is restricted, permission can be sought from the Proof Master to visit the building but books cannot be loaned. A small charge is required for this service. |

Research facilities afforded by our historiansDue to a general lack of knowledge on firearms and ammunition the Proof House regularly receives requests from home and abroad to answer queries on weaponry, ammunition and proof. In recent years we have acquired the services of Firearms Historians who are prepared to undertake such research on the behalf of others. It is now possible to contact us either via e-mail, fax or by post to request they undertake such work on your behalf. Clearly, through lack of certain documentation within the trade, not all questions can be answered. However, having received such a request, they will assess the time required to answer the questions and give a quotation for the service.
To use this service send an E Mail outlining your research request via info@gunproof.com then visit our online store and select the "Research" basket item, visit the cashier & enter your credit card details. Your questions will then be assessed and you will receive a response indicating the potential cost which you must agree before any deductions are made from your account and the infomation is sent to you. |
