The Famous Kynoch Collection of Cartridge Drawings

The Proof House now houses specimens of the Kynoch and Eley collection of cartridge drawings, load cards and order books, some of which date back to the late 1800’s. The collection spans war rockets, cartridges, bullets, shell cases, bomb detonators, fog signals and other devices made at Witton, Birmingham. To the historian it is an invaluable reference source.

A descriptive list of the drawings is now available on a computer database and most drawings are available as photocopies.
